Television development skills bootcamp is a one day course in developing television programmes and generating formats. The course will analyse what makes a successful tv format, explain how to generate and develop ideas, and help you understand what tv commissioners are looking for. Television development skills bootcamp is based round practical exercises and workshops and you will devise a programme you can pitch to a broadcaster.
You’ll learn about the commissioning system and how it works as well as getting feedback on your own programme ideas. You’ll also learn what makes a good format along with useful information about what the main channels are currently looking for.
Areas covered include:
Producers, directors, writers and freelancers, and anyone currently working in or planning to work in development.
Cancellations must be in writing and must be received at least seven days prior to the course date or the full fee will be charged.
