Self-shooting camera skills 2: intermediate is a one day workshop building on your current shooting skills to make you more confident and able to film in most factual television situations.  Self-shooting camera skills 2: intermediate will show you how to get that shot right – and get it right first time. The course will give you hands on experience and help you understand and get all the shots you need for your edit.

Course content

You’ll learn some of the more advanced skills of camera operation – from working with contributors and recording audio on location to back-lighting and applying a script.

Areas covered include:

  • understanding focus
  • shooting in HD
  • depth of field
  • shooting landscapes
  • composition in widescreen
  • getting the shots the editor needs
  • using the weather

Who it's for

Anyone already using a camera who wants to improve their skills, and APs and PDs who want to step up and increase their understanding and ambitions as shooting PDs.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be in writing and must be received at least seven days prior to the course date or the full fee will be charged. ITF reserves the right to cancel courses without liability, and delegates will be offered an alternative date or full refund.
