A one-day seminar aimed at people working in a production environment whose responsibilities include the hiring and managing of people on permanent and/or freelance contracts. It provides you with a practical toolkit of information and guidance about what the law requires and what is best practice around the industry.
You will develop your understanding of employment law and discuss how to balance the legal requirements with the practicalities of managing in a production environment.
Areas covered include:
• Employment and Service Contracts.
• Arrivals and departures including sourcing candidates, pre-employment checks, managing performance and behaviour issues.
• Money matters including statutory payments.
• Working time and time off including the working time directive and statutory leave entitlements.
Anyone who has responsibility for hiring and managing people and wants to develop their knowledge, confidence and understanding of their legal obligations.
Cancellations must be in writing and must be received at least seven days prior to the course date or the full fee will be charged.
