Legal and business
This day long practical workshop will put you in the shoes of a producer across factual, music and social media content.
The morning consists of practical scenarios and the latest developments in editorial policy and the law. Topics covered will include taste and decency, privacy, impartiality, fairness, accuracy, working with children, defamation and other legal issues.
In the afternoon you will get to pose your burning editorial questions to OFCOM’s Standards & Compliance Executives – David Burkin and Joy Wixley.
Keep up to date with latest developments in Editorial Policy and the Law.
How do you ensure balance, taste and decency, and avoid libel in your output? Whether a researcher or executive, arm yourself with the skills that will help you take risks and create cutting edge content, whilst ensuring you are fully compliant with current regulation.
For delegates this is a unique opportunity to refresh their knowledge, and discover the boundaries of what is editorially possible, through skilled training and direct contact with industry decision makers.
