You’ll learn how to budget crew and crewing levels successfully as well as the key differences between a feature film and a television budget. We strongly suggest that you complete our scheduling for drama production course [link to page] before you do this course.

  • departmental budgets
  • contingency planning
  • keeping the budget within funding or the slot price
  • how and when to cut costs
  • when to lock a budget

Who it's for

Production managers (PMs) intending to move into drama, assistant directors wanting to move up to first assistant director (1st AD), location managers and co-ordinators aiming to move up to PM, and production staff new to budgeting for television drama.

Cancellations must be in writing and must be received at least seven days prior to the course date or the full fee will be charged. ITF reserves the right to cancel courses without liability, and delegates will be offered an alternative date or full refund.
