Deborah Langdon-Davies worked for the BBC for nine years in the Copyright Department, now part of the BBC Talent Rights Group, specializing in literary and artistic rights issues across a wide range of programmes. She set up and ran the Photo Unit which deals with the clearance of images for BBC television and multimedia, and conducted complex negotiations with rights holders such as BAPLA, DACS and the major UK Galleries on behalf of the BBC in order to establish industry wide terms for the use of visual material. Deborah has been working as a freelance trainer/adviser in copyright and broadcast rights. She has extensive experience of training in rights issues, and also advises production staff and rights owners on rights, contracts and negotiations.
